In the interview, Macri recalled football and personal episodes: he mentioned that Maradona had missed 'five consecutive penalties' and stated that after Héctor 'Bambino' Veira's departure, Diego himself had proposed to coach the team. According to the former president, he rejected the idea because the former footballer was 'so bad with his addictions that he couldn't even kick a penalty', a phrase that ignited controversy.
